The Airdrie 1st Club, would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has given to our Holiday Hamper Program in the past.
All of your donations have helped us to make the Holiday Season better for our clients.
Our organization is volunteer run and therefore 100% of your donations go to the people we help.
How Can I Help
Instead of the groceries that we normally receive from donations and our City wide food drive, we are asking for Grocery Store gift cards. Holiday Hampers this year will be a combination of grocery store gift cards, fresh produce, toys, gift cards/certificates preferably from Local Companies and entrepreneurs for the families/individuals to use for supplementary food/present buying.
Sponsor a Family This year, we will be providing gift cards and some toys for kids in families for our qualified recipients. We are requesting that donors purchase the following for a "Holiday Hamper":
Sponsors may be companies, organizations, individuals and families. If your budget allows please consider sponsoring a larger family or several smaller ones. Or perhaps you have the budget for one gift card or a small monetary donation, every little bit helps. We count on our sponsors to make this program happen. Donate Monies received are used to purchase gift cards / gifts for the hampers. Cash donations are accepted by mail. Donations can also be accepted through ATB Cares. E-transfer is another method by donations are gratefully accepted, email: treasurer@airdrie1st.com. All financial donations of $20.00 or more are eligible for an Official Tax Receipt. Thank you for considering donating to our program. Anyone wishing to donate, gift cards or toys would be greatly appreciated. Please contact us for pick-up by emailing info@airdrie1st.com. A formal list will be supplied when you apply to be a sponsor, needs may vary based on family size. Where do I bring my Holiday Hamper?The Hamper Depot location provided in Sponsor PAckage. Can I remain anonymous?Yes, we respect the wishes of our Sponsors to remain anonymous if they desire. What if my family or company wants to spend more than the recommended amount on the Gift Card Package?We will be pleased to accept any amount of gift card donations you have, we anticipate a large increase of applicants needing a Hamper this year, so the more we get the more people we can help. I would like to contribute, but can't afford to sponsor a family.We recognize that not everyone is able to adopt-a-family, and we greatly appreciate your willingness to help. Every donation towards our program counts - whether it is a single gift card or $10.00 in cash. Please feel free to give any size of donation. Can I specify the size of family and children's ages of the family I wish to sponsor?Yes, we do our best to match sponsor wishes with families Will I receive an income tax receipt?Official Tax receipts are also available for All financial donations of $20.00 or more. Tax Receipts are also available for all parts of the Holiday Hamper (gifts and gift cards) provided that you complete the "downloadable Tax Receipt Form" and submit the original store receipts at the time you drop off your package.
